About HackerTube AI
6,386 YouTube videos that Hacker News commenters keep recommending to each other, with a personal layer on top.
Where the videos come from
The catalogue is the open HackerTube dataset, created for hackertube.org, which was prompted into existence by Andrej Karpathy and built by Claude. It was made by reading every Hacker News comment from 2007 to 2026, keeping videos that at least three different people recommended in at least three different months, and having Claude label each comment and write each video card. We removed videos that are now deleted, private or not embeddable.
What we add
Google sign-in, sync, YouTube connect, Takeout history import, and a personal feed ranked by similarity to what you like, still drawn only from HN-recommended videos.
