What it is

A Numberphile video in which Alex Bellos explains the Recamán Sequence, a number sequence defined by stepping back or forward by increasing amounts, and shows the arc diagram that visualizes it. It also features Tiffany Arment coloring the pattern, and links to the OEIS entry.

Cited in 1 Wikipedia article, including Recamán's sequence.

I'm trying to graph the recaman sequence [this video] as a scatter plot and as far as I can tell my script is setup correctly. Also I'm pretty sure its not the back-end because I can run scripts like: import matplotlib.pyplot as plt plt.plot([1,2,3,4]) plt.ylabel('some numbers') plt.show() and it works fine. Here's what my code looks like: import matplotlib.pyplot as plt import os while(True): try: itterations = int(input("Itterations: ")) break except ValueError: os.system("cls") def recaman(n): arr = [0] * n arr[0] = 0 for i in range(1, n): curr = arr[i-1] - i for j in range(0, i): if ((arr[j] == curr) or curr < 0): curr = arr[i-1] + i break arr[i] = curr return(arr) def genX(n): x = [] for i i

I saw a video about the Recaman Sequence by Numberphile. If you don't know the algorithm you can look at this link: [this video] or this one: [LINK] I wrote a little piece of software with Processing and p5.js to visualize the sequence. My algorithm makes steps in which the next hop gets defined and then I try to draw a semicircle from the previous point to the new point. My problem is that the current semicircle disappears when the next is drawn. I want all of the semicircles to remain visible. Here is the link to CodePen where you can see my Code and the Output: [LINK] let S = []; let count = 0; let active_num = 0; function setup() { } function draw() { createCanvas(600, 400); background(50, 50

I'm working on a program that calculates the Recaman Sequence. [this video] I'm trying to graph it by drawing arcs like in numberphile. I've searched YouTube and there are videos on graphics.h. However, I've heard graphics.h is outdated. Is there a new thing similar to that? Is there another method, or should I try to install graphics.h? Also, I'm running this on a Windows 10 computer.
