What it is

Eventually, I used a flutter feature called flavors which works for Android and iOS. Here is the guide I followed : [this video] For devs using VS Code, I created a VS Code config file to make launching the apps in the different flavors easier : { "version": "0.2.0", "configurations": [ { "name": "Launch Development", "request": "launch", "type": "dart", "program": "lib/main_dev.dart", "args" : ["--flavor", "development", "--target", "lib/main_dev.dart"], // ? Great, so what happened? Since my Macbook is not allowed to update the OS anymore (it's a 2017 Macbook pro), I was planning to purchase a new Macbook. So I pushed my changes EXCEPT the most important file which is the schemes ( development ). I renamed the default Runner scheme to production as per the tutorial. Fast forward, I've setup flutter and everything to my new macbook and cloned the app. At first, it was showing issues about 'flavor' . Because again, the schemes weren't included. So I manually recreate
