Why Stack Overflow recommends it

Stack Overflow users link it when answering questions about Java graph libraries and visualisation, as a quick look at what GraphStream's dynamic graph rendering can do.

Recommended by 3 people across 2 different months, 2011 to 2013.

What it is

A short demo video announcing the 1.0 release of GraphStream, a Java library for building, analysing and visualising dynamic graphs. It shows graph generators, algorithms such as A*, Kruskal and betweenness centrality, CSS-style graph stylesheets, a new viewer, and an experimental map-based graph of Le Havre with a random walk simulating traffic.

Take a look at GraphStream [LINK] , as shown from their demo video [this video] you can do some fancy stuff with graphs using their library.

I would recommend using the GraphStream API [LINK] . It handles the DOT format and the visualization is quite nice. Watch it in action in this video [this video] See the file input demo here [LINK]

I just found out about the GraphStream [LINK] Java library from rlegendi's answer to this [LINK] question. I haven't had a chance to download it yet, but the video [this video] looks promising.

GraphStream [LINK] is a dynamic graph library written in Java that provides Java developers a way to easily represent dynamic graphs in memory, on screen or in files. Video demo [this video] . GraphStream provides a framework to handle the evolution of graphs, that is the changes on values stored on edges and nodes of a graph during time, but also the "topology" changes of the graph, that is the addition, removal and modification of nodes and edges during time.
