Why Stack Overflow recommends it

Stack Overflow users link it when someone wants to replace a remote file or response with a local one, since AutoResponder is the built-in way to do that in Fiddler.

Recommended by 2 people across 2 different months, 2013 to 2017.

What it is

A short screencast from Progress Telerik, the makers of Fiddler, showing how the web debugging proxy's AutoResponder feature can answer requests on behalf of the web server. It walks through setting up rules so a client can be tested against custom or local server responses.

You can absolutely use FiddlerScript for this, but the task you're describing is exactly what the AutoResponder feature was designed for. Learn more here: [this video] and here: [LINK]

I will assume that you want to retrieve the js script from your local machine to save some internet bandwidth. If this is the case, then you can use Fiddler AutoResponder rules to achieve your goal. I got this [this video] reference for creating rules. Now if I want to use this feature programmatically then how how to that meaning how one can use Fiddler's Auto Responder Feature Programmatically? Lets say Python/IronPython or any other language. I just want to update fiddler to make sure any request should respond to 400. Thanks, Arfeen.
