What it is

A short 2013 screencast from BlazeMeter's JMeterTutorial channel showing how to build a JMeter script that logs into a website by recording and replaying the login request. It covers the basic setup for posting credentials in a load test.

You can use [LINK] for authentication or follow this tutorial [this video] It is difficult to help you without seeing your script. You can create a new question with JMeter tag and post link here so that I could track it.

I tried to look into sending the appropriate parameters with my request. The way I finding out the appropriate parameters is login while using firebug and afterwars I look at the POST request. But the only paramenters I see is username and password. I watch this video for giudance for picking out the parameters and using them. [this video] because I successfully tested with loadcomplete and I am using "authorization" & "token". I see a new “token” the request immediately after I login. to get this token,

What you are trying to do is generally called "Load Testing". There are many tools that simulate many concurrent users and stress tests your site, such as, Tsung, ApacheBench, JMeter etc. Here's a tutorial on how to setup JMeter so that you can load test your login page: [this video] When you run the test, JMeter is going to spawn more and more new users that will login (i.e. do a successful HTTP POST request) until the response time gets too large and if you have pm2 running while your test is running, you will be able to see how much RAM and processes is getting occupied at your peak concurrent user.

Here is the youtube video link [this video] Update: I am finally able to send the parameters with value. The http request looks like below: [LINK] But the response shows following error: [HttpAntiForgeryException (0x80004005): The required anti-forgery cookie "__RequestVerificationToke

found out the reason: the "formtoken" from the initial logon page load, which changes every load, has to be included on the POST as parameter!! These 2 videos (one got from blazemeter, the other one I found it on my own since the first on doesn't say how to determine/extract the formtoken) show: How to determine the name and CSS selector for the token (it's not always named "formtoken") How to get the value as a JMeter variable to pass from the page load step to the POST step (where we actually need it) How to add a CSS selector in order to do this.
