The basic principle is that you include the target parameter(s) you want to animate within the UIView.animate function, while you need define them before and after. You have the phase before the function call (consider it keyframe 1 in animation terms) and you have the phase you target for after animation (keyframe 2) like so: Phase(s) before: self.yourView.opacity = 0.5 self.yourView.frame.origin = CGPoint(x: 0, y: 0) Phase(s) after: UIView.animate(withDuration: 0.5, animations: { self.yourView.opacity = 1.0 self.yourView.frame.origin = CGPoint(x: 100, y: 100) }) The simplest starting point used above and a version with more options (you can also introduce spring behaviours and things): UIV

I'm trying to implement an iOS-style control center in my app using Objective-C - so essentially, I want to have a sliding down view over an existing view if the user so chooses. In the default situation, the lower, i.e. underneath view is what should be visible. I've looked around a fair bit and have implemented a sketchy implementation, leveraging the Swift code in this [this video] YouTube video - but still finding it difficult to finish this off. There's a Git project too (DragSlideView) that builds upon this tutorial, but I seem to be facing additional problems in runtime other than what has been shown in the tutorial / Git project (in Swift). Appreciate if folks can point out what I might b

I'm facing this strange problem (and even though a lot of answers talk about it) for some reason, I haven't been able to solve it. I have a tabbar controller > navigation controller > tableView - where I load a list of music tracks. When someone touches a button (in an extended cell area) I intend to load a Music Player. Earlier, I was trying to load a music player as a separate view but then found it hard to manage the view states (even though it played perfectly well), so I decided to load the music player as an attached subview. I have been trying to follow this tutorial [this video] where a draggable view is demoed like a notification centre. The view works perfectly, I can drag and see the w
