I Sold Microwave Meals On Deliveroo
Why Hacker News recommends it
HN cites it as an example of delivery platforms accepting listings without hygiene inspection, in ghost kitchen discussions.
What it is
YouTuber Josh Pieters lists microwave meals on Deliveroo as if from a restaurant and sees whether anyone orders them. The stunt shows how little vetting the platform applied.

They already do have a portion of the business that does that. I worked for them for a few weeks in London as a way to get paid to work out. There was a sort of container warehouse in Battersea - basically food trucks that you're ordering from. You might also appreciate this: > I Sold Microwave Meals On Deliveroo [this video]

This YouTuber tried selling Microwave meals on Deliveroo (spoiler: Deliveroo let them without inspection, and someone bought it!): [this video]

This is great. From the video, a Deliveroo representative states that the "hygiene inspection" is not a blocker for the "Italian Stallion" to begin accepting orders. That is flabbergasting. > [this video]
