Ok understand now what you really need. The best way for this to be accomplish is by using asp.net webservices. What this means is that you must make some edits to your code that is currently running on your server. Please look up Asp.net Web Services and check out these links: Microsoft Web Services weblink [LINK] and Create and Use ASP.NET Web Service [this video]

can not find the new way of referencing / using the web service. there is the old way of adding WEB REFERENCE (.net 2.0) but I would like to use the new service reference. following tutorial: [LINK] or: [this video] I can do it the old way. and calling the web reference like they say works - but how to do it with a SERVICE REFERENCE instead. I can make the service reference itself, but don't know how to use it. anyone can help find a tutorial? or knows what code to use instead of: (code for: .net 2.0 - web reference) service1.Service1 s1 = new service1.Service1(); String result s1.HelloWorld(); Trace.WriteLine(result); (code for: .net 4.0 - service reference) here is what i tried Service1.Service

I have built this web service that returns all of the links from one table in SQL. I saw a lot of tutorials where they just added a new web reference to the project and they choose Web Services from the project ,they choose the web service that they want and they click add reference, and then they just created a new web site and they used this code to call it: WebServiceLinks.Service proxy = new WebServiceLinks.Service(); WebServiceLinks.Vezvi Links = proxy.GetLinks(); and then they just passed this to a label. When i try to write WebServiceLinks , I cant find the Service class. This is the code that I have wrtitten. (I am using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010). Code : public static string GetLi
