As Triskelion [LINK] suggests you can use Views Bulk Operations (VBO) [LINK] This module augments Views by allowing bulk operations to be executed on the displayed rows. It does so by showing a checkbox in front of each node, and adding a select box containing operations that can be applied. Drupal Core or Rules actions can be used. The best thing to do here is create a custom VBO [LINK] view to suit your needs! It can have all the filters and sortable columns you want, and ... checkboxes so you can perform actions on the selected items. See a guide here for using Views Bulk Operations [this video] . Don't forget to set the views access permssions as you want to create an admin only vbo view !

A work around for issue 1. & 2. Add Bar number as a field to each study node. Then add field to view, and aggregate. How exactly is the Bar Number being calculated? You could use Rules [LINK] to calculate this value when node is saved and save the calc number to your Bar number field. If there is no calculation, then ignore this part. Use field permissions [LINK] to not allow certain roles to change the value of this field, if needed. Add a new field called Bar Number (machine name: field_bar_number) to your study content type. You can create a custom module. mymodule.info name = My Module description = Makes calculation for Bar Number field in Study content type. package = Custom version =
