What it is
Part 12 of Corey Schafer's Django blog tutorial series, showing how to add a password reset flow: a form takes the user's email, Django sends a unique token link, and a verified token lets the user set a new password. It also covers setting up email for local development and sending through Gmail with environment variables.

@dirkgroten I am following a youtube tutorial by Corey Schafer. Here's the link to the video [this video] , I did not made any changes to password_reset_email template , it was default. And in the video error displayed at 7:56 is the error I am not getting, and I guess this is the reason for improper wroking of my code. I am not understanding why am i not getting this error. Please if you could refer to it.

I have a problem when I try to reset my password. I configured the settings.py according to Coreys tutorial on youtube: Python Django - Email & Password [this video] or Vitor Freitas [LINK] instructions. Running that on my local virtual machine does not cause any problems. Also when I run send_mail(mail_subject, message, mail_sender,[mail_recipient]) from from django.core.mail import send_mail does not cause any problems on my server in Canada - he (its a he :-)) can sent the email over the email service located in Austria. The error message in the console or the browser is (see bottom for complete error message) Request Method: POST Request URL: [LINK] Django Version: 2.0 Exception Type: SMTPRec

I'm following an incredibly informative tutorial series on YouTube by a guy named CoreyMS: [this video] I've made it the 12th video where he is teaching me how to set up a password reset page. I initially had trouble getting my gmail info placed in an environment variable, and perhaps that is still my problem, but every time I type in my email then hit Request Password Reset it just does nothing for a long time then eventually times out: /password-reset [Errno 60] Operation timed out
