What it is

This is the first video in Corey Schafer's Django tutorial series, in which he builds a full-featured blog web app. It walks through installing Django, creating a project and getting a basic site running in the browser. The series continues with users, posts and deployment.

@Cleb, I don't know what code to show, in all honesty. No errors are being raised, and this site has several files and forms in its structure. The best thing I can think to add is that the site is the exact same as Corey Schafer's tutorial ( [this video] )

Cites Fawaz · 2019-09 · Stack Overflow · on “In my django app, how to show all posts of similar category if that category is selected?”

I'm new to Django so bear with me please. I'm creating an app for posting jobs, and it's based on Corey Schafer's social media tutorial [this video] . Each post/job in my app has a category field (NGO, Engineering, Oil&Gas, etc...) My goal is if I select a category, then all jobs of the same category are listed. Corey did the same with the "all posts of a selected author " approach, but I couldn't do similar thing with my category goal. I appreciate all help for guidance. If the pics aren't enough, a general guidance is fine, thanks! urls.py [LINK] views.py [LINK] model.py [LINK]

I am having a nightmare tonight, I want to start learning some Django but I am running into quite a few problems while installing it. I am following these tutorials - [this video] / [LINK] I installed Python 3.7.2 and confirmed the installation by typing 'python --version' into Terminal/Command Prompt. I typed 'pip --version' into CMD and got this message in return "'pip' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file." this is where I am stuck, I cannot continue any longer without completing this step, could anyone tell me where I am going wrong? Thank you edit: looks like it's a path issue, does anyone know how to do the following: how to I do this : "Then

I am working on a django project following an old guide from CoreyMSchafer ( [this video] ), who builds a django blog application. After finishing the tutorial he created I wanted to take it a step further. In the videos he creates posts, but he does not create a way for users to comment. I want to add this, but am running into a bit of idea block. My first thought is to continue the method he employed for the posts, which would be establish a one to many relationship with the user and the post, as below. class Post(models.Model): title = models.CharField(max_length=100) content = models.TextField(max_length=1200) date_posted = models.DateTimeField(default=timezone.now) author = models.ForeignKey

Cites Andrew Rea · 2022-01 · Stack Overflow · on “Deploying Django Apps on Heroku”

I have followed two tutorials about deploying a Django app onto Heroku. I created two apps with the first tutorial ( MDN [LINK] ), and one app with the second tutorial ( Corey Schafer's YouTube video [this video] ). All three times I've created these Django apps and they work. But when it comes time to try to deploy these apps to Heroku, something I download through pip into these apps doesn't work. This time around, with Corey Schafer's tutorial, when I download "django-heroku" through pip, the download works but when I add import django_heroku django_heroku.settings(locals()) into my "settings.py" file, I get an error message saying Import "django_heroku" could not be resolved Pylance(reportMis
