I'm using Emabarcadero Delphi XE 10 Seattle Update 1 to create an Android service, i've found this tutorial Link [this video] and created a service application, what i want to do is get current location in every 5 seconds with Location Sensor and save to database. I'm doing that on my mainform but when i close the program it's stopping, so i couldn't find any article about how i can syncronize my application and service. I've tried to add timer and Locationsensor to service form but Delphi is not allow me to add to service form any object,i think i need to send a command to service or somehow i need to connect service and program, i found a sample which shows how to download images with service b

One thing at a time... here's a guide for implementing a service on Android [this video] . Full disclosure: I've no idea how effective or useful it is or how complete (or otherwise) Delphi capabilities for Android services are since I use Oxygene for Android development (also Object Pascal but works very differently than Delphi, enabling me to make use of all those Java references). The rest of your question seems more related to specific business/application requirements than a programming/technical problem, but if you run into specific issues you should consider asking questions about those separately.

the app uses an Indy http server in order to respond to requests or to send infos to the client(s). I need the app running always targeting Oreo 8.1+. Because of limiting background services in Oreo [LINK] , how can be this task achieved with delphi in the given conditions? The app should also has a mini UI in order to control the connected clients. (in case the info is valuable for design considerations) I tried this example [this video] and is working fine until Oreo, but it doesn't help me in my case. It would also helps if you guide me to adapt this working example for Oreo 8.1+
