What it is
A screen-recorded tutorial by Jeff Heaton on setting up TensorFlow with Apple Metal GPU support on M1/M2 Macs using Miniconda. It covers removing old Python installs, installing an ARM build of Miniconda, setting up Jupyter, installing TensorFlow, registering a kernel and testing it. The setup is meant to prepare Macs for his deep learning course.

So I removed everything and installed miniconda following this tutorial: [this video] After that I installed pystan(2.19.1.1,), and then pip install fbprophet, and now it's working! I really don't know why it's working now.

Below is the simplest and efficient way from which we can install tensorflow in Mac M1 NOTE: Mac M1 has ARM64 arch not X86_64 so we need to be very careful while downloading packages. Anaconda is available for Mac M1 users : [LINK] Following are the steps to victory: Download Anaconda from above link create virtual env ( Optional ) pip install tensorflow-macos Thats it! I'm pretty new to Python and I'm trying to install Tensorflow on my M1 Mac. I've been following Jeff Heaton's most recent guidance ( [this video] and [LINK] ), but when I get to creating an environment in the 'conda env create -f tensorflow-apple-metal-conda.yml -n tensorflow' folder I get the following error: ' PackagesNotFoundError: The following packages are not available from current channels: - tensorflow-apple-metal-conda.yml Current channels: - [LINK] - [LINK] - [LINK] - [LINK] To search for alternate channels that may provide the conda package you're looking for, navigate to [LINK] and use the search bar at the top of the page. ` Does anyone have any idea what is going wrong? Thanks, real
