Why Stack Overflow recommends it

Stack Overflow users link it when answering TensorFlow install errors and environment problems on Windows, since it builds a clean conda environment from a known-good YAML file.

Recommended by 3 people across 3 different months, 2020 to 2020.

What it is

A step-by-step screen recording by Jeff Heaton showing how to set up TensorFlow 2.0, Keras and Python 3.7 on Windows 10 using MiniConda and a tensorflow.yml environment file, then registering a Jupyter kernel and testing it. It targets the CPU version and links to GPU, Mac and later TensorFlow 2.x updates.

@AMC, I am trying to install Tensorflow and other packages to follow that particular course. Like I mentioned earlier, I was follow the steps in this video: [this video] Thanks

pip is the default package manager that ships with python. Conda is also a package manager, but it is third party. Conda was made especially for data science libraries. Libraries installed with conda usually give much better performance than pip. In pip, the packages are stored in python/scripts and conda stores them at /anaconda/pkgs/. As for the module not found error. I would need more information about it, but you can check out this [this video] video. I learnt how to install TensorFlow here and would highly recommend it.

I have simple tensorflow code sum.py: import tensorflow as tf a = tf.Variable(1, name="a") b = tf.Variable(2, name="b") f = a + b tf.print("The sum of a and b is", f) === I am window 10 user with Anaconda 3, tensorflow 2.0, jupyter, and pyhton 3. I have similiar issues and i resovle the following iusses: Error: UserWarning: h5py is running against HDF5 1.10.5 when it was built against 1.10.4, this may cause problems My environment was messad up with lots of pip install. The following video resolve my problem. [this video] It uses the tensorflow.yml with a list of clean environment: [LINK] Under the window prompt: conda env create -v -f tensorflow Then open anaconda prompt conda acticate tensorflo

I had issues with my Tensorflow and had to re-install it. In order to ensure I do not make mistakes like I have done before, I followed Jeff Heaton tutorials (available here [this video] ) for installing Tensorflow for CPU. However, on executing the command: conda env create -v -f tensorflow.yml, I get some massive error (please see details here [LINK] !). Kindly show me where I am getting it wrong. I have tried both 2020 and 2019 versions of anaconda. Using Miniconda did not help either. Thank you very much.
