Should I create iOS 8 new feature called Frameworks / Extensions to share a simple Utility class used among more projects? How do you share common application logic? I thought I will just drag a swift textfile in projects without checking Copy items if needed checkmark. Am I doing right? I found here a promising tutorial with fancy inbuilt animation: [LINK] And this youtube video tutorial is useful too: [this video]

An old video I did since the above link earlier is not available anymore. How to Create a Cocoa Touch Framework Using Xcode 6 [this video]

Cites Tema · 2015-04 · Stack Overflow · on “Embedded Binaries with iOS Framework”

I was able to create iOS Framework for Xcode as shown in that video:- [this video] On 5:00 they say that framework must be added to Embeded Binaries. If I add it to Embeded Binaries then it works. It is not required to add GoogleAds.framework to Embeded Binaries. Adding to Embeded Binaries looks a bit "hacky" comparing to Googles solution. So I think this tutorial is missing some step. My question is: How can I make a framework that works without adding it to Embed Binaries?

Cites János · 2015-05 · Stack Overflow · on “Can't archive app with Cocoa Touch Framework”

I have packed my utility methods written in Swift into a Cocoa Touch Framework , and embedded into my app as this tutorial says: [this video] It works well, but when I want to Submit to App Store, or create an Ad hoc Archive, it raise a lot of declaration error. What am I missing?

I have a Utility Cocoa Framework, a class with a bunch of utility methods. I use this framework in several other app, without any problem. I just created a new app, and app is not able to recognise methods. Any idea why? I have not upgraded Xcode. Embedded library set: Utility method is public: I have go though on this tutorial: [this video]

Cites János · 2015-06 · Stack Overflow · on “Add Cocoa Touch Framework for debugging”

I went though on this [this video] tutorial to link my Cocoa Touch Framework to my app. It works for iOS device but not for simulator. Why? I get a lot of linking error when simulator build product was added, but it works when iOS device build product is added.

So I watched the whole video ("Building modern frameworks") here [LINK] and I still have some questions. The last 11 minutes is the actual demo if you want to watch it, but to sum up he creates a framework and then stops. He does not show how to share it or place it in other projects. 1.) In order to use the frameworks in other projects I have to import both the simulator framework and the device framework to work? Is that correct? 2.) Can I copy the actual framework out of the build folder to use in other projects? 3.) Is it possible to keep the framework up to date among different projects? Like change method A in the first project and the change is also visible in the second project? 4.)

Cites JibW · 2015-10 · Stack Overflow · on “IOS: One 'Cocoa Touch Framework' Library for both Simulator and Real-Device?”

I am working with XCODE 6 and SWIFT 1.2 in my iphone application at the moment and loooking a way to share the common codes between projects. Therefore thought of creating a ' Cocoa Touch Framework ' as explains in following tutorials that contains the codes I want to re-use among projects. 1). How to reuse Swift code in other projects? [LINK] 2). [LINK] 3). [this video] All ok and I can use the shared codes that contains in the Library project successfully. So my problem is , this is really annoying I have to integrate framwork that contains in 'Debug-iphonesimulator' folder when testing with simulator and again the library that contains in 'Debug-iphoneos' when testing with a real device ... I have created an Objective-C .framework file, and attempting to put into into a project. I have copied the framework from the "Debug-iphoneos" folder into the new project folder, as well as set the framework in Linked Frameworks and Libraries and Embedded Binaries. When I try to run the project containing the framework I get the error ld: framework not found ExampleFramework Linker Command Failed With Exit Code 1 I tried following this video, which simply builds a swift framework and adds it to a project, but this seems to require different steps for objective-c [this video]
