Why Worldbuilding Stack Exchange recommends it
Worldbuilding Stack Exchange users point people to it when they need a plausible, science-flavored basis for wormholes in FTL travel, communication or inter-planar transport in fiction.

What it is
A Kurzgesagt animated explainer on wormholes: whether they are real physics or just math, how they might work, how they could be created and held open, and where they might be found. It draws on the Morris and Thorne papers on traversable wormholes and uses the channel's narrated illustration style.

Exotic Matter [LINK] ( Negative Mass [LINK] ) or just Unobtanium You said you have FTL drives, but you didn't specify how they work (only said warp drive). They could use a special fuel to work, and since FTL is the most important thing in any galactic-size operation, this fuel would be the most expensive thing in the entire universe. Just imagine being able to control the production of this special fuel, you could control entire empires with this unique resource. Everyone will be under your power, even more, you create and destroy with it (without FTL's fuel you can isolate an entire sector of the galaxy during thousands of years). You could simply use unobtanium to feed your hyperdrives. O

If you want it to sound sciency and have a plausible basis, you could use wormholes. There's a really great video on youtube by Kursgesagt [this video] which explains what they are and possible ways in which they could be created and sustained. Wormholes would cover your galactic teleportation. As for your inter-planar transport, if wormholes exist naturally, the theory is that they would be linked by cosmic string which keeps both ends open, you could just say that each of the deities created one of these to their plane, assuming that your deities live on these planes. This would also be good for showing how powerful the deities are that they can keep wormholes indefinitely with little effort wh

I came to SE WB while I was researching about space radiators for my sci-fi. I don't remember where exactly I found an answer to my question ( Maybe? Idr [LINK] ) but I stunned with this site. You all looks like amazing. I'm trying make this story as accurate as possible, start it years ago as way to teach some simple concepts to my children and the thing grow up since then: In the year 2240 Humankind is in a time of reasonable peace and prosperity, the last giant calamity was depression in 2030-2050. After it, our species developed fusion nuclear reactors, organized political institutions in city-states and an unified global Parliament, built space elevators and a geostationary ring like th

The Setting Let's make an imaginary machine powered by the sheer will of argument. Let's call it a cosmic anti-mass sowing machine, cause why the heck not. (If you can't tell, I don't expect this to work.) This machine could magically pluck wormholes out of cosmic foam, think Kurzgezagts example [this video] of how to make one. What if we had a spherical, three dimensional wormhole, instead of my ideal square-shaped 2D hole in spacetime that I tried to brand the "phase-gate" machine. The Question Let's say we make a wormhole... between two far-off places, let's say between Jupiter and Saturn and its equivalent point around some far off star, Proxima Centauri. We then built a magic armature around
