What it is
An 11-hour tutorial by Les Jackson that builds two .NET microservices from scratch. It covers REST APIs, separate persistence layers, Kubernetes deployment, an NGINX API gateway, synchronous messaging over HTTP and gRPC, and asynchronous messaging with RabbitMQ.

I am trying to learn .NET Microservice. I have been following a great tutorial on [this video] (Time: 4:44:55, Adding An API Gateway). Everything worked well until NGINX Ingress came into the picture. I pasted the same YAML file from the GitHub account of the trainer I doubled checked all the things but couldn't find anything: I can see all the pods and services are working fine: [LINK] [LINK] I updated my host file. I'm following this tutorial on Microservices [this video] At some point, I deploy a SQL Server image in Kubernetes, using this Yaml file: apiVersion: apps/v1 kind: Deployment metadata: name: mssql-depl spec: replicas: 1 selector: matchLabels: app: mssql template: metadata: labels: app: mssql spec: containers: - name: mssql image: mcr.microsoft.com/mssql/server:2019-latest ports: - containerPort: 1433 env: - name: MSSQL_PID value: "Express" - name: ACCEPT_EULA value: "Y" - name: SA_PASSWORD valueFrom: secretKeyRef: name: mssql5 key: SA_PASSWORD volumeMounts: - mountPath: /var/opt/mssql/data name: mssqldb volumes: - name: mssqldb persistentVolumeClaim: claimName: mssql-claim --- apiVersion: v1 kind

I'm following Les Jackson's tutorial [this video] to microservices and got stuck at 05:30:00 while creating a deployment for a ms sql server. I've written the deployment file just as shown on the yt video: apiVersion: apps/v1 kind: Deployment metadata: name: mssql-depl spec: replicas: 1 selector: matchLabels: app: mssql template: metadata: labels: app: mssql spec: containers: - name: mssql image: mcr.microsoft.com/mssql/server:2017-latest ports: - containerPort: 1433 env: - name: MSSQL_PID value: "Express" - name: ACCEPT_EULA value: "Y" - name: SA_PASSWORD valueFrom: secretKeyRef: name: mssql key: SA_PASSWORD volumeMounts: - mountPath: /var/opt/mssql/data name: mssqldb volumes: - name: mssqldb pe

I'm following the tutorial [this video] from Less Jackson about Kubernetes but I'm stuck around 04:40:00. I always get an 404 returned from my Ingress Nginx Controller. I followed everything he does, but I can't get it to work. I also read that this could have something to do with IIS, so I stopped the default website which also runs on port 80. The apps running in the containers are .NET Core. I'm trying to setup ingress to work with a kubernetes cluster as seen here: [this video] . When testing the endpoint in postman it is returning a 404 not found. I've tried using https and http and i'm at a loss. Thanks! Edit: I was using a localhost for testing and am now trying to use acme.com as the routing url.
