The previous answer is correct; however, I'd like to elaborate further. Consider MiniKube as having two layers of containerization. The first layer is the single node of MiniKube, which is containerized on the Docker engine or Docker Desktop (which utilizes the Docker engine), or it operates on the native virtualization mechanism or tools (such as Hyper-V on Windows or Hyperkit on Mac). The second layer is where your containers are deployed within MiniKube. [LINK] [LINK] [LINK] [LINK] I recommend Nana's excellent explanation of Kubernetes and Minikube [this video] . Her tutorials provide a clear and comprehensive guide for beginners, covering the setup and basic commands of Minikube and Kubectl,

I was also following the same tutorial ( [this video] ) and this helped me. Posting it for future readers. minikube service --url <name of the web service> In my case it is minikube service --url web-service which gave me this output. No error is shown, simply "the site can't be reached because it took too long to respond.". "kubectl get events" shows no events but this should be normal no? Shouldn't the nodeport type allow me to access the app in browser? I kinda did it similar to the tutorial here: [this video] (Minute 59)
