Build A PHP Contact Form
Why Stack Overflow recommends it
Stack Overflow users link it as the tutorial they followed to build a contact form, often when asking why their PHPMailer setup sends no email, and as a starting point for form submission and validation basics.

What it is
A 30-minute Codecourse tutorial that builds a working PHP contact form from scratch, covering form submission, server-side validation, session-stored errors and sending the message by email with PHPMailer. It is a follow-along coding screencast with a single presenter.

It probably won't help too much if i just tell you how to do it all, you're probably best to spend some time getting familiar with HTML, PHP and Javascript, it seems like you might be missing a few key concepts. For now, i'd say ignore the javascript part and just focus on the form submission and validation on the server. TL;DR I suggest starting with a video like this: Build a PHP contact form [this video] , that should cover some of the basics of form submission and error checking (validation). Then start looking at how to combine javascript and PHP with something like this: Submitting a form with AJAX [LINK] Hope that helps!

I'm a game developer so I do not have any PHP/network/back end web development knowledge. I've been stuck with this problem all week with no luck online. Before PHPMailer, I tried using the mail() function in PHP but I was getting confused with all the .ini files. I found PHPMailer on this site in one of the answers and I have gotten much further. I followed this tutorial [this video] exactly, but the email will not send and debug is not printing out anything. My code always returns false and displays my "can't send email" message. <?php session_start(); require_once 'PHPMailer/PHPMailerAutoLoad.php'; require_once 'PHPMailer/class.phpmailer.php'; $errors=[]; if(isset($_POST['name'], $_POST['twitt

I'm currently using XAMPP and PHPMailer for a simple 'CONTACT ME' email form on my test-website. The problem is as follows. I cannot seem to be able to send out a test email to make sure if it is working. I've spent the majority of my weekend trying to find out the root of this problem but I still cannot seem to find an answer. It does not even tell me if something went wrong or not. I've tried the following according to the web/ StackOverFlow/ Documentation: removed semicolon from php.ini for line "extension=php_openssl.dll" restarted XAMMP updated port and host values *seen below* DLd PHPMailer from [LINK] watched PHPAcademy's " Build A PHP Contact Form [this video] " Video on Youtube Actually

I am trying to use PHPMailer that I have downloaded from GitHub (I was mostly following tutorial on YT tutorial [this video] but I have also put some little changes of my own) but I am having problem because I don't really receive any mails. There are no errors shown or any other problems. Maybe someone will see something that I don't. If you need to know something more ask. HTML code probably is a bit messy as I am beginner. <?php session_start(); require_once 'libs/phpmailer/PHPMailerAutoload.php'; if(isset($_POST['name'], $_POST['email'], $_POST['text'])){ $fields = [ 'name' => $_POST['name'], 'email' => $_POST['email'], 'text' => $_POST['text'] ]; foreach($fields as $field => $data){ if(empty
