There is no syntax called "jump to" although you can easily call a method by firstly making a method. public void myMethod(){ // do something } now when you have done this, you call it from another method by invoking it's name myMethod(); . You might know that a method can either return a variable or return nothing (void) if you give it a return-type you MUST return a variable with the same type as your method. For example: public int oneplusone(){ int integer = 1 + 1; return integer; } and a void would be like this: public void oneplusone(){ int integer = 1 + 1; System.out.println(integer); } When you've specified your method you need to call it by invoking its name from another place in yo

Oh, I just found a great tutorial series. Since you're new to Java, I think this would be a great series for you. It will show you how to download everything you need and teach you about programming in Java. If you are unable to figure out how to download it, you should follow video series. From what I've seen, it's very good! [this video]

if there is any different JDK version (more then one jdk )installed previously uninstall all of it. then install fresh one jdk (latest ) n to configure java environment see follow this link.... [this video] now follow following steps: right click on project >properties >project fact check on java by selecting version on its right side with dropdownlist. check on Dynamic Web Module with its version (remember that different version of this requires different version of TomcatServer so installed one step old version of tomcatServer) now click apply n ok. There are different reason for this problems but this is the most cases. is not solved contact at sanlama21@outlook.com

You made it a static method so just call: newhello.rtnval(); But you've also made a mistake when creating an instance. Instead of this: newhello newval = newhello(); You need to use the keyword new to make a new instance! newhello newval = new newhello(); The thing is... I see you don't understand Java the best. You have 2 main methods, didn't use the new keyword and so on... Before trying to make your own program watch some tutorials. I've been stuck in the same thing when i was learning. Not wanting to look at tutorials. I will link you some great tutorials for you: [this video] Good luck!

javac not working in windows command prompt [LINK] ^I tried the suggestions on this post, and it was SLIGHTLY helpful, but not completely. I opened up my command prompt and I typed in "javac" after putting in the path in my Environment Variables and it didn't work, at which point I googled it and found that thread. I knew that I had closed and re-opened my cmd already, and that didn't work, so I skipped that bit and I saw the part telling me to make sure that javac.exe exists, which I verified with the "dir" command in the cmd. Afterwords, while in the "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_25\bin" folder on the command prompt, I typed in the next bit of advice, which was for %i in (javac.exe) do @

@WineSoaked here are the links to the 2 tutorials i have watched: [LINK] and [this video] and there is only one instance each of javac and runtime :).

For example, given the link [this video] which is a video about installing the Java JDK. Using Java and the YouTube-API, how can I get information such as length, title, and views? I looked and I found [LINK] but it's outdated and I'm not sure exactly how to use it. Forgive my ignorance as I'm new to Java. Thanks.

First off, let me say I did all of this while watching this video: [this video] So, I tried downloads jdk-8u60 for windows 64bit, as seen right here: [LINK] (JDK), but when I first installed my antivirus Avira did a system scam, I don't remember if it was for java or not, but just pointing out. I also got a strange error, saying that there is a missing file inside the bin folder (I can't get that error again, sorry folks). When I try to run "javac" on CMD it says "java is not recognized as an internal or external file" (my computer is not on english, sorry), so I went to check and the folder is like this: [LINK] As I can see, there is a lot of missing files compared to the guy's videos, and I won
