Using Laravel 5.8.31 I seem to be getting an integrity constraint violation for something in a table that should not be null. The issue is that its telling me posts.title in my migration file should not be null, but that variable is not even in the migration table. SQLSTATE[23000]: Integrity constraint violation: 19 NOT NULL constraint >failed: posts.title (SQL: insert into "posts" ("caption", "image", "user_id", >"updated_at", "created_at") values (kjhgj, C:\xampp\tmp\phpE3B7.tmp, 1, 2019->08-14 07:14:03, 2019-08-14 07:14:03)) I am trying to learn Laravel and have been following this youtube tutorial [this video] From the error page that I get from my browser I can see that the error is thrown i

I recommend that you take a look at this course from freeCodeCamp: [this video] Here you will learn everything you need (they are actually making a instagram clone in the tutorial). If you dont bother watching the tutorial: Use a one to many relationship with a pivot table (one post can have many likes). This way you can save the post id and user_id of the like in the DB :)

Am new to coding and Laravel. I'm following a tutorial video [this video] and at 22:31:00 I am told to edit the .env file and then connect to database using "php artisan migrate". I manually created a file within Larevel database folder "called database.wamp" (I use WAMP to connect to mysql database) and set the .env info to; LOG_CHANNEL=stack DB_CONNECTION=mysql DB_DATABASE=database.wamp DB_USERNAME=root DB_PASSWORD="" I have no password for my mysql database. I've looked at many online answers to the above issue but none work. I get the following error; C:\wamp64\www\sites\demo1>php artisan migrate Illuminate\Database\QueryException : SQLSTATE[HY000] [1045] Access denied for user ''@'localhost'

I've recently started Laravel and started a tutorial on it. I installed my homestead box on Windows 10 using Virtualbox (had to make some modifications [LINK] to get it working) and I'm now working with it for laravel. The tutorial i'm following is this one [this video] , and I was able to install the auth module using the new commands ( composer require laravel/ui and php artisan ui:auth ). I followed the exact same steps to add a username, but I have been getting a 419 error. I haven't edited anything about the sessions, so Googling hasn't helped much. I can link some files if needed. Changes in app/Http/Controllers/Auth/RegisterController.php: protected function validator(array $data) { return
