I assume your Laravel version doesn't matches with his. Clearly, his code uses Bootstrap 3 and you are using bootstrap 5. Some components do change and the changes between 3 and 5 are huge for some components. Why are you using that old tutorial? Laravel 8.x is out. Checkout this [this video] course if you wanna build Laravel app from the latest version. If you wanna make a clone of shopping cart and follow his tutorial word-by-word, start a new project with the following command. This will make a new Laravel project of 5.2 version (any desired version infact). composer create-project laravel/laravel="5.2.*" myApp And use bootstrap 3 from here [LINK] .

So I think I followed the same tutorial of TraversyMedia [this video] 's guest Alex, and stumbled upon the very same problem. While suppressing diagnostics obviously work, it's not quite what I want (would not accept). In this case the method attempt exists, so I just want the awesome Intelephense extension to recognize it. I'll try to explain so it's applicable to more than just this case. Solution Ctrl + click on auth() which is supposed to have the method brings us to helpers.php file where the function is defined. There we see a small bit of code with an if statement, but either way it returns the same class, namely AuthFactory . So again we Ctrl + click on AuthFactory and we find ourselves s
