What it is
A short screen-recorded tutorial from It's FOSS showing how to get past Ubuntu freezing at the purple boot or login screen. It adds the nomodeset kernel parameter in GRUB for a one-off boot, then makes it permanent by editing /etc/default/grub and running update-grub2.

Maybe, this can fix the issue, [this video] Also, installing another de such as kde plasma is highly not recommended. It's possible that it broke the system after removing kde plasma

If you are having persistent issues on boot-up of your system, I would strongly recommend re-installing Ubuntu 20.10. You could probably fix that issue. If you still have issues with boot up and if you think it is an issue with graphics, I would either get a new computer or replace the graphics stuff. Since Macs are supposed to be compact, I would either get a new computer or a new motherboard. It would be easier to get a new computer. These may help: [LINK] [this video]

I need to dual boot my Windows 11 system with Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS (Jammy Jellyfish) to run ROS2, Gazebo and Docker natively. I tried following YT tutorials and yet ran into some errors. I'll be eternally grateful if anyone could guide me through this :) Note: I'm a CS engineering undergrad and use Ubuntu on ThinkVision extensively at my university labs. I'm comfortable with Bash, the command line and Linux as a whole. However, I have zero experience with dual-booting a Linux distro when an existing closed-source OS is running. I used Perplexity to word my post properly. 1. Search Effort Several hours on Ubuntu forums, Reddit, and YouTube tutorials about 22.04 dual‑boot and NVIDIA login loop i
