Why Stack Overflow recommends it

Stack Overflow users link it as a hands-on OpenCV tutorial, both to answer color-detection and install questions and because askers report following its projects.

What it is

A 3-hour beginner course on OpenCV in Python by Murtaza Hassan. It covers installation and core image operations, then walks through three projects: color detection and virtual painting, document scanning, and license plate detection.

I think you should elavorate a bit more on the question. From what I understood, this video: [this video] in the project 1 almost at the end it talks about identifying colors.

Try using Python 3.7.6 Then in Pycharm > Settings > Project # > Project interpreter Verify that you are using Python 3.7 then Add Package (+) search for opencv-python and install it I get the info from this video : [this video]

Hi i am trying to code a program that can detect a color that i am holding over the webcam, then when i move the color the computer should draw a line: i'm following this tutorial: [this video] my code: import cv2 import numpy as np frameWidth = 640 frameHieght = 480 cap = cv2.VideoCapture(0) cap.set(3, frameWidth) cap.set(4, frameHieght) cap.set(10, 150) myColors = [[5, 107, 0, 19, 255, 255], # orange [133, 56, 0, 159, 156, 255], # purple [57, 76, 0, 100, 255, 255]] # green def findcolor(img, myColors): imgSHV = cv2.cvtColor(img) lower = np.array(myColors[0][0:3]) upper = np.array(myColors[0][3:6]) mask = cv2.inRange(imgSHV, lower, upper) cv2.imshow("img", mask) while True: success, img = cap.re

@codetime Then you`ll need some way of filtering out objects of ifferent colors, e.g. `inrange` cv2.core function. This actually may greatly improve outcomes you`re getting, since this allows for more agressive preprocessing (much of the background will be culled, noice supressed etc.); *generality* will be negatively affected, though, because selecting colors will bind you to the selected colors. There`s an interesting demo of this approach at [this video]

I've been following this tutorial and I'm currently on Project 2 chapter of it: [this video] . However when I start implementing the lines of code meant to read values off the image it gives out the following error: ValueError: cannot reshape array of size 0 into shape (4,2) From what I can tell, the error seems to be coming from this function: def reorder(myPoints): myPoints = myPoints.reshape((4,2)) myPointsNew = np.zeros((4,1,2),np.int32) add = myPoints.sum(1) print("add", add) myPointsNew[0] = myPoints[np.argmin(add)] myPointsNew[3] = myPoints[np.argmax(add)] diff = np.diff(myPoints,axis=1) myPointsNew[1] = myPoints[np.argmin(diff)] myPointsNew[2] = myPoints[np.argmax(diff)] print("New Points
