Why Stack Overflow recommends it

Stack Overflow users link it when answering how to combine Famo.us with Meteor, since it explains the Collection.observe pattern and rendering Blaze templates inside Famo.us surfaces.

What it is

A 26-minute talk from the February 2014 Meteor Devshop in San Francisco on integrating the Famo.us JavaScript UI framework with Meteor. It shows how Famo.us renders its own DOM outside Blaze templates and demonstrates the approach with demo code from Percolate Studio.

Here's a presentation from the February 2014 Devshop about integrating Meteor with Famous [this video] . I haven't seen it in two months, but I do distinctly remember them mentioning that yes, you leverage the Collection.observe pattern. In short, just like using React or Three.js , Famous is obtuse to the Blaze templating engine. It sidesteps it completely, and renders all elements as flat DOM. Read Mark's answer about this [LINK] . A package that leverages the require.js API was submitted to Atmosphere a few days ago. It's called Famono [LINK] . There's a plugin on Atmosphere that should help you with Famo.us and Meteor integration: it is called famono. And there is this nice video on Youtube explaining some rational with a bit of codes that should also help you a lot: [this video] As you are, I'm in the plain middle of checking if Famo.us will suite my needs with Meteor. I'll post my progression on my blog: [LINK]

As I understand, you are interested in any cases of mobile front-end framework integration with meteor. Let me show you great example famo.us [LINK] + meteor from Percolate Studio - guys who are doing a lot of stuff with meteor and for meteor too. Here [LINK] announce in meteor blog, also video from devshop [this video] Some useful links in blog and devshop will be a good example of successful mobile+meteor integration in production app.

As of now, I have to add that famous views is in my opinion not ready for production. The developer also states this on his website. I can only recommend to anyone to develop directly in javascript but with templates (use content: Blaze.render(...)) like described here: [this video] and here: [LINK]
