I started feeling suspicious about the environment, so I got a friend who had OpenCV all set up to try out my code and he could run it with no problem... So I reinstalled everything, but this time I chose Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 SP1 and OpenCV 2.4.3, and it worked correctly. If someone is having the same problem, I recommend downgrading to VS2010. Also, this video installation guide [this video] was really helpful when I was setting the environment! Thank you :)

Hey there I followed the installation guide of OpenCV 2.4.4 on Windows 7 here [this video] And I linked all system path variables to their respective directories. I also followed all his steps of including the libraries in the linker and C/C++ properties, but I used vc11 instead of vc10 (he's using opencv 2.4.3). And I was able to build the project just fine, it knows where the libraries are. But once I run it a window pops up with the following error message "opencv_core244d.dll is missing from your computer". It can't seem to find the .dll files even though I'm pointing to the right directories. Any suggestions? EDIT: I read online that this sort of thing can happen if the .dll files are not in

Ok, I used to have this problem too actually. I thought my above answer could be the solution. It wasn't easy to find, but I managed to hunt down the tutorial video that help me solve this same problem I had in the past. Here's the video: [this video] Hope this helps, once again, let me know how it goes (:

I would suggest that you check to make sure your directories and environmental variables are entered correctly. Then try manually retyping the libraries in the linker, carefully making sure you entered it correctly. Check in your 'lib' folder ( C:\opencv\build\x64\vc10\lib ) to make sure you put the right file name in your additional libraries. For example, you could have file opencv_ffmpeg231.lib from version 2.3.1. This may have been the case during the making of the tutorial but change the number to your current version. i.e, for version 2.4.7 it would be *opencv_ffmpeg247.lib* just check your "lib' folder to make sure they're the same name Also, Try this youtube Tutorial for installing O

I found the solution on this video tutorial: [this video] I have installed VS2012 before and I installed VS2010. They work fine together. Then I followed the steps on tutorial and it works fine now. Note: I installed opencv version 2.4.3.

Hi i have a problem running the OpenCV application using Visual Studio 2013 and Windows 8.1 x64. I followed this guide: [this video] I did everything as said in the guide except the changes: x64 instead of x86 and vs11 instead of vs10 in file paths. Im trying to run it on OpenCV 2.4.6 (where file names are like 'opencv_core246.lib' and not 'opencv_core231.lib' like in the error. Can you help me?

I'm using Visual Studio Express 2013 with OpenCV 2.4.7 , following this tutorial [this video] . I have spent hours searching the web for solutions, including all of the relevant SO questions. I have tried: the return value of VideoCapture::open is 1 extending the waitKey() delay to 50ms and later 500ms setting the dimensions of the window creating another project on Visual C++ opening an existing image instead of reading from camera (same error) but no luck, please help! Here's my code: #include <opencv/cv.h> #include <opencv/highgui.h> #include <iostream> using namespace std; using namespace cv; int main() { Mat image; VideoCapture cap; int camOpen = cap.open(CV_CAP_ANY); namedWindow("window", C

Tried that. Didn't work. I was following the tutorial here: [this video] And the "official" visual studios tutorial from the openCV main website. I've added pictures of some of my configurations.
