What it is

A 2013 Google Developers session by Addy Osmani introducing Yeoman 1.0, a front-end workflow built from Yo (scaffolding), Bower (client-side package management) and Grunt (task-based builds). It walks through building a small web app with the three tools.

I am following along on the new Google Developers video Automating Your Front-End Workflow With Yeoman 1.0 [this video] and things don't really work like it does for Addy. When I run grunt server grunt opens up /mytodo/dist/index.html at [LINK] . Why doesn't it load /mytodo/dist/views/main.html or /mytodo/app/views/main.html like it does for Addy? Here is my /mytodo/Gruntfile.js code: 'use strict'; var lrSnippet = require('grunt-contrib-livereload/lib/utils').livereloadSnippet; var mountFolder = function (connect, dir) { return connect.static(require('path').resolve(dir)); }; module.exports = function (grunt) { // load all grunt tasks require('matchdep').filterDev('grunt-*').forEach(grunt.loadNpm

I created a node env using nitrous.io [LINK] . Inside of their terminal I installed yeoman [this video] . If I try to run grunt server I get an error stating: Fatal error: Unable to find local grunt. If you're seeing this message, either a Gruntfile wasn't found or grunt hasn't been installed locally to your project. For more information about installing and configuring grunt, please see the Getting Started guide: [LINK] If i go to preview than connect to port 3000 i get this The Reference states for node to change 127.0.0.1 or "localhost" to 0.0.0.0 var http = require('http'); http.createServer(function (req, res) { res.writeHead(200, {'Content-Type': 'text/plain'}); res.end('Hello World\n'); })

I'm following the tutorial here: [this video] while learning yeoman and angular. I've gotten to here [this video] and where his example works, mine does not due to some scope problems. main.html <div class="jumbotron"> <h2>My Todos:</h2> <p ng-repeat="todo in todos"> <input type="checkbox" ng-model="todo.done"> <span>{{todo.text}}</span> </p> <form ng-submit="addTodo()"> <input type="text" ng-model="newTodoText" size="20"> <input type="submit" class="btn btn-primary" value="add"> </form> </div> main.js 'use strict'; var myApp = angular.module('todoAppApp'); myApp.controller('MainCtrl', ['$scope', function ($scope) { $scope.todos = [ {text: 'Item 1', done: false}, {text: 'Item 2', done: true}, {text: '
