I am getting a similar error to this post [LINK] , but it only happens when I go to the website I set up in IIS 2012R2. I am following this tutorial [LINK] to start a web app, and I used this video [this video] to set up Django with IIS. I successfully set up the Django using IIS, but I a missing the CSS on the admin page. Note that the admin page displays the CSS items if I run the page using runserver command. python manage.py runserver But if I run it through [LINK] in IE (setup through IIS), I get the picture shown below. I tried this in Chrome, and it gave me same results. Do I need configure my wfastcgi.py file to show CSS? In the video tutorial, the author talks about a static folder in II

If you want to setup your Django production server through IIS in Windows server (If users are less, you can even use normal Windows 7 or 10 professional machines as well). This video can help you do it step by step [this video] I have brought up couple of production websites this way. Although the one you are trying to do also works, but the only problem with your approach is that you should take care that console is never closed by anyone or you accidentally. But there are lot more hidden problems, usually for production, this is not recommended. To avoid accidental closures, you can do below in Windows (running it as a service): For this approach, you need pywin32 needs to be installed, instal

I am trying to set up IIS 8 with Django 1.8.3 using Fastcgi and Python 3.4. I followed this tutorial [this video] with the following Environment Variables: DJANGO_SETTINGS_MODULE -> value: FirstSite.settings PYTHONPATH -> value: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Django\FirstSite WSGI_HANDLER -> value: django.core.wsgi.get_wsgi_application() I changed the WSGI Handler value from django.core.handlers.wsgi.wsgihandler() to django.core.wsgi.get_wsgi_application() because the tutorial talks about a previous Django version. I followed everything in the tutorial, and as I try to open the website on my IE browser in Windows Server 2012 R2 I get the following error: Keep in mind 8003 is the port I configured as the tuto

Does anyone know a guide on how to configure a Django project (django 1.9) to IIS 8.5 on a Windows server 2012R2? I previously had projects working on IIS 8.5 using django 1.8, but we decided to move on to 1.9 and now all I get are HTTP Error 500.0 Internal Server Error. The tutorial I followed for django 1.8 is here [this video] with the following variables for FastCGI: Name: DJANGO_SETTINGS_MODULE Value: FooBar.settings Name: PYTHONPATH Value: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Django\FooBar Name: WSGI_Handler Value: django.core.wsgi.get_wsgi_application() [LINK] I also followed this tutorial [LINK] and I get a similar error. Is there an alternative to FastCGI? Is FastCGI obsolete for django 1.9? What else can
