Why Stack Overflow recommends it
Stack Overflow users cite it as the tutorial they followed when building low-level UNET multiplayer code, then link it when asking why their client or server scripts misbehave.

What it is
A 1h43m recorded livestream from the Gamesbeat channel (N3K) in which the host builds a multiplayer movement prototype in Unity using the UNET Network Transport Layer API (LLAPI) with C#. It builds a client and server from scratch and links to the official Unity transport layer docs.

Along with a friend of mine, we have started development of a multiplayer game utilizing the Transport Level API (UNET LLAPI?) available with the Unity Game Engine. Because of the need to have upto a hundred concurrent users in the view range of other players I was wondering what is the most efficient way to send messages about the player position, rotation, etc. So far, adapting from the tutorial (1) on Youtube we were able to set up a system where only the positions of the different moving players are updated. However even with only 5 players moving at the same time the position updates get super delayed on the different clients. I believe this is due to the string variable type that is us

I'm following a tutorial [this video] unity multiplayer (UNET) on YouTube but I'm getting different results compared to the guy in the video. You see I followed his tutorial to the tea, however in my server script within the update function I used a debug.log in the switch statement default function to tell me if i'm receiving invalid messaging, which I am. I think that my message isn't really being sent properly despite the fact that I followed the guy's tutorial carefully! Am I missing something in my server script? This is my code: public class ServerClient { public int connectionId; public string playerName; } public class Server : MonoBehaviour { private const int MAX_CONNECTION = 4; private

I am trying to setup a multiplayer game to be played through a browser using UNet. In the editor everything works fine, I followed a tutorial ( [this video] ) that said it should work in webgl but sadly it does not. There are two scripts as of yet one for the client and one for the server linked below. This is using mostly the LLAPI. Whether I use the networkServer.usewebsocket = true or not, the result is the same. The debug of "finished connection" does show so it completes the OnConnection function. From the editor everything works fine but from the browser I get the following error: "Attempt to send to not connected connection {1}" -- Since I get this error when ASKNAME is asked and when ASKP

I have a Unity networked project for which I am using the very convenient Unity Networking High Level API (with Network Manager component and Network Discovery among other components). This projects runs fine on two Android phones over LAN. I need now to transfer a big byte array (3 to 10 MB) from server to clients before the client actually loads the Online scene. For that purpose I took inspiration of this tuto [this video] on the transport layer API but it is not as simple as I expected as now my client phone doesn't load the online scene even if I am sure that the hosts and the clients are actually exchanging messages. I put logs everywhere, and the last message that I have is Async DNS Resul

I have tried to make multiplayer online game in Unity using LLAPI from [this video] . Everything is working well and I am also able to add Z-Axis movement for player and build Client in WebGL. However, I tried to add camera to each player by adding camera as a child of Player Prefeb, and write some codes to disenble camera in SpawnPlayer function in Client Script when Player is not local player, but it did not work. Players still used the same camera. I want each player to have their own view. Is there any solution to this ? Thank in advance.
