Learn Solidity, Blockchain Development, & Smart Contracts | Powered By AI - Full Course (0 - 6)
Why Ethereum Stack Exchange recommends it
Ethereum Stack Exchange answerers point people to it as a thorough free course for learning Solidity, testing with Foundry, and building the FundMe contract.
Recommended by 3 people across 3 different months, 2023 to 2024.
What it is
Part one (lessons 0 to 6) of Patrick Collins' free full course on Solidity and smart contract development, running over eight hours. It covers blockchain basics, Remix, a Simple Storage contract, a Storage Factory, a Fund Me contract with Chainlink price feeds, AI prompting, and an intro to Foundry.

You can use Foundry (recommended) or Hardhat for testing. This is a good course by @patrick-collins which goes in depth [this video] Recommended to read: [LINK] Here's an outline of a test in Hardhat // 1. Import necessary modules and libraries describe("Campaign", function () { let campaign; let owner; // 2. Define beforeEach hook to deploy a fresh instance of the contract beforeEach(async function () { // a. Deploy the contract using the Contract Factory // b. Get the owner's signer }); // 3. Write the test case for the donate function it("should update received amount and decrease contract balance when donating", async function () { // a. Get the initial balance of the owner // b. Define the d

I'm still learning, so I'll give you my point of view on what's important. Understand blockchain I suggest starting with a book, like Ritesh Modi's book [LINK] . Understand how the blockchain works, why it was created, its purpose and needs, and how the cryptography behind it works. This website [LINK] helps understand the basics behind blockchain. If the cryptography part is too challenging for you, at least understand SHA-256, but I suggest learning more about RSA, digital signatures, and hashing. Dive deeper into blockchain: What are the different consensus (POW/POS/Other)? What is mining, and how does it work? How do validators work? What do you think is better to work with? If you have

I recommend you to read some of the solidity docs: [LINK] as well as solidity-by-example: [LINK] and if you really want a video tutorial then definitely check out Patrick Collins: [this video] He also has one based in Javascript (hardhat), and one in Python (brownie) if you have a preference/any previous experience with either of those.

I am new to blockchain currently learning and exploring. I followed Patrick's tutorial and now in order to have hands-on I want to implement a FundMe [this video] smart contract but for my national currency instead of USD. I am not sure if the way I am approaching this problem is correct. The reason I am thinking this way is that I want to display amount on frontend in my currency instead of USD. I tried finding address for my desired data feed on chainlink [LINK] , but did not find anything. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks.
