What it is
A short 2012 Xcode tutorial from techytube that explains what an IBOutlet is and how to create one by control-dragging from a nib/xib or storyboard view into a class's interface. It shows declaring a weak, nonatomic IBOutlet property such as a UITextField and using the Assistant editor to connect it.

Ok so you'll need to set-up an IBoulet so you can access your scrollView. This video will hopefully give you an idea of what to do, sorry I'm not on my mac to grab a srceenshot. [this video]

You're using storyboards, so control-drag the UIImageView into your interface. The property need not be strong--it should read: @property (weak, nonatomic) IBOutlet UIImageView *imageView . If you don't know how to control-drag, this video may help: [this video] . Fast-forward to 2:05.

No problem, it's noon for me. I suspect you're not connecting the IBOutlet for the NSTextView to the correct view. Please see [this video] and reconnect your IBOutlet.

In the file (depending on what access permissions you want to have over that property) of the view to which the UITextField belongs you should add: @property (weak, nonatomic) IBOutlet UITextField *txtField; inside: @interface SettingsViewController () //Other code @end You can also connect the UITextField as an Outlet from the Storyboard: Press the Suit in the top left corner of Xcode Select from one side the Storyboard and from the other side the Class where you want to access the Outlet (the property) from. Press the control button and drag from the UITextField to the interface block in that class. Here is a link: [this video] Then in your code you can access it with: [self usernameField].text
