Well, it's more like a two-part question. I was following step by step this youtube tutorial [this video] about setting up visual studio code and trying different compilers(I went to winlibs and downloaded Win64: Zip archive version) and everything was great until 35:30 where the terminal output was fatal error: cannot execute 'cc1plus': CreateProcess: No such file or directory compilation terminated. I uninstalled and repeated the process several times but the problem remained. I followed some other tutorials about fixing the problem but it didn't work and soon after something else came up. I uninstalled and installed again the compilers and when I tried to find them in the command prompt clang+

I am following a C++ tutorial, and the guy shows how to set up tasks.json to run multiple C++ files at the same time, link with timestamp: [this video] Now I installed the newest versions of all of the packages: [LINK] Change my tasks.json to be same as his: { "version": "2.0.0", "tasks": [ { "type": "cppbuild", "label": "C/C++: g++-11 build active file", "command": "/usr/bin/g++-11", "args": [ "-g", "-std=c++20", "${workspaceFolder}/*.cpp", "-o", "${fileDirname}/rooster" ], "options": { "cwd": "${fileDirname}" }, "problemMatcher": ["$gcc"], "group": "build", "detail": "compiler: /usr/bin/g++-11" } ] } Try to compile and it does not work, error: Starting build... /usr/bin/g++-11 -g -std=c++20 "/h

I'm learning C++ from [this video] , I'm on Arch Linux. While setting up tasks.json file with the code: { "version": "2.0.0", "tasks": [ { "type": "cppbuild", "label": "Build with G++", "command": "/usr/bin/g++", "args": [ "-fdiagnostics-color=always", "-g", "-std=c++20", "${workspaceFolder}/*.cpp", "-o", "${fileDirname}/rooster" ], "options": { "cwd": "${fileDirname}" }, "problemMatcher": [ "$gcc" ], "group": "build", "detail": "compiler: /usr/bin/g++" } ] } it's giving the error: Executing task: Build with G++ Starting build... /usr/bin/g++ -fdiagnostics-color=always -g -std=c++20 '/home/stoner69/codes/C++20TemplateProject/*.cpp' -o /home/stoner69/codes/C++20TemplateProject/.vscode/rooster cc1p

I'm currently Using Ubuntu and VS Code. (Version 1.86.2) and I'm trying to learn to code in C++ Extensions installed are currently: C/C++ ; C/C++ Extension Pack ; C/C++ Themes ; CMake ; CMake Tools A lot of things are working Fine but I notice that I Have to take this exact approach to get Problems identified in the "Problems" Tab. Exact Approach: Terminal -> Run Task -> Build Active File This is mostly okay, but I have seen a Tutorial where the Problems are populated before the User Clicks Run or Anything. I just want to know where I can find the option to turn on and off as I see fit. This is the Video: [this video] You'll see it within a minute of the timestamp provided. Around the 1 Hour and
