I have been trying from here. [this video] , at that time stamp. He shows that you can call a function, enter in a parameter between the parenthesis and it will help. However, he does not show if you could use the parameters as inputs. Can I try to make an example in Python?

@uneven_mark Here's the link to the segment in the video: [this video] I maybe should've put it in the original post but I thought it doesn't matter.

This is kind of a beginner question, so please let me know if this is appropriate for this website and if not, where else I should be asking this. I've just gotten into the basics of C++ (pretty much what's being taught in this video from FreeCodeCamp: [this video] ). Obviously, not everything there is to know is discussed in this tutorial and I've been running into a couple of things in other demonstration vids that I don't quite get yet. For example, this quick demonstration of how Tetris can be coded: [LINK] ) you can see him use the command 'RenderWindow', which apparently creates a new window the size of his choice (320*480 pixels in this case). This doesn't seem to be a standard function in

This code should not work since guess isn't initialized but the instructor in this youtube video I had been watching managed to run this code without any problems. May I know the reason why I cannot seem to run the code but he can? Cites kleirceval · 2022-02 · Stack Overflow · on “What do the brackets mean in NASM syntax for x86 asm?”
In MASM, brackets work like NASM when used with registers, and in that case are not optional. (Things are different for addressing modes that don't involve a register, see Confusing brackets in MASM32 [LINK] ) The brackets indicate that the register contains a pointer, and that the machine code wants the value of that pointer (pointers are in byte-addressing: a pointer is the xth byte of memory; a byte is 8 binary digits; one hexadecimal digit is 4 binary digits; as a byte is 2 hexadecimal digits; starting from there); if it's in the src part of the instruction. However, if dst has the brackets: memory at that address is an operand for the instruction. (Memory as in pointer of "byte-addressi
