What it is

A 92-minute online training workshop from Object Computing that introduces EOSIO DApp development, aimed at developers including those without C++ experience. It covers the main pieces of a DApp, how transactions and actions flow, a walkthrough of building and deploying a DApp, and the libraries available, with a focus on back-end smart contracts.

While there is limited information on dApp stack, here's what I found on the internet so far while we wait for more. You can try CLion [LINK] which is not free, but I found it very useful. You can use any other C++ IDE like Code::Blocks [LINK] . The important part is that EOSIO is using CMake [LINK] to build the project (it's like Maven / Gradle for Java or npm for Node.js) which should be integrated in most of the IDEs. In terms of testing I guess you can use actually eosjs [LINK] and assert the results of the contracts using javascript testing frameworks like Mocha [LINK] (as test runner) + Chai [LINK] (as assertion library) or any other libs. For running EOSIO locally I use Docker on top of my Ubuntu. To experiment with contract development I actually use official github repository and write the contrac

Have a look at this tutorial from Kevin Heifner: [this video] he talks about setting up your dev environment and CLion in the first 15 minutes of the tutorial.
