I know this is old and has already but answered but I thought sharing might help the visitors. I was watching ASP .Net MVC5 tutorial by Mosh here [this video] and found that he has mentioned the correction in Attribute Routing Section. Following worked for me. [Route("movies/released/{year}/{month:regex(\\d{2}):range(1, 12)}")]

I have Visual Studio 2015 and ReSharper. I am currently using the default Dark Theme the way it comes. However, I would like to make property names the color purple. Please see this video on YouTube [this video] for an example of what I am looking for. (56:37) or anywhere throughout the video. For example: var userId = User.Identity.GetUserId(); I want 'User.Identity' to appear in a color other than white. I am assuming the only possible way to change the color of properties is by using ReSharper, but I can't figure out how in the Tools > Options > Fonts and Colors screen.

I just started to learn ASP.NET MVC 5 and found a lot of tutorials about using the Unity ioc container for dependency injection. I followed this great video to start: [this video] when looking for the package to install, I saw: [LINK] I found this [LINK] tutorial from October 2014 that shows how to use the Unity.Mvc framework. All it required is: adding the package (automatically adding UnityConfig.cs and UnityMvcActivator.cs to App_Start. create interface ( IUnitySample for example) and an implementation adding a constructor to HomeController for example that takes a IUnitySample as a parameter. and finally, add to UnityConfig.cs in method RegisterTypes the register statement: container.Register

I have just created asp.net mvc application. I wanted to change the "theme" of the site, to I've got to bootswatch and selected darkly theme. Then I've added it to Content folder and edited App_Start\BundleConfig.cs changing: bundles.Add(new StyleBundle("~/Content/css").Include( "~/Content/bootstrap.css", "~/Content/site.css")); to: bundles.Add(new StyleBundle("~/Content/css").Include( "~/Content/bootstrap-darkly.css", "~/Content/site.css")); It worked. But with the default theme the site looks like this: [LINK] And with darkly bootstrap it doesn't show the Home About Contact Register Log in tabs: [LINK] I had to click that little button which the arrow is pointing to show the list with thos

You don't understand the MVC [this video] concept. You are doing controller's (C in MV**C**) work in view (V in M**V**C) which is bad.

I was watching this tutorial [this video] and I am using VS Community 2017. When I create/select ASP.NET Web Application it generates these files and folders: [LINK] But according to the tutorial, I should have these: [LINK] Because I'll need stuff like app_data for the database. Starting my first ASP.NET website, following a tutorial ( [this video] ). I have got to the point of changing the theme, downloading the css file and adding it to the Content folder and updating BundleConfig.cs but the theme has not applied! Unsure what I have done wrong. I have tried other themes (from bootswatch.com), but the same issue. I assume I have not done something correctly. Below is the BundleConfig.cs which I updated. bundles.Add(new StyleBundle("~/Content/css").Include( "~/Content/bootstrap-lumen.css", //Updated from bootstrap.css "~/Content/site.css")); It should look like the top one, instead it looks like the bottom: Screenshots [LINK]
