What it is

A roughly hour-long Blender tutorial from CG Masters (Aidy Burrows) on building a sci-fi wormhole tunnel effect by animating UV coordinates with procedural textures. It is part of the Space VFX series made with Gleb Alexandrov and works through the shader and animation setup step by step.

Well there are a few ways to do this, I edited the answer to include a very simple way. If you want to get more complex I would watch this [this video]

I know. This question has been asked a lot. Most replies/responses I have found say it can't be done. And I feel I have been bamboozled. It started with watching this [this video] tutorial on creating wormholes. At 34:30, he adds a noise texture and connects it directly to the output. On his, it displays the texture in the material viewport, in mine it doesn't. I am absolutely stumped to why his works and mine doesn't. I am creating the wormhole on my MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2015), which has a 1.6 GHz Intel Core i5 and an Intel HD Graphics 6000 1536 MB. As the title states, I am using Blender 2.79. My OS is MacOS Sierra 10.12.5. Because my computer lacks a GPU, I cannot use GPU rendering. I h

I'm doing this wormhole tutorial [this video] and I'm trying to get particles to also follow through the animated tunnel. Emitting from the far end and coming toward the camera. The problem is that the wormhole is wiggling around and the particles don't follow the animated path. I was able to add a bezier curve and control it with the armature and use it as a curve guide force field. I controlled the position of the emitter with the armature as well. particles don't stay on the curve when it wiggles around. And the curve doesn't follow the armature very well either. [LINK]

Im currently working on a Wormhole tunnel effect like this: [this video] Problem is in my scene I got objects which are flying through it and those emit light too. So if they fly through it, the tunnel gets lightened up. The Wormhole in itself is more of a special effect and its own shadermaterial emits light already, but I dont want it to accept other lights... any ideas how to disable this in eevee?
