I too had the same error. The fix that worked for me was so simple. Instead of giving yo jhipster , I gave yo generator-jhipster and the process went fine and all the project files got created. Just for clarity, here are the steps that I followed. Before that make sure Node.js and npm are installed in your system. Add C:\Users\{myusername}\AppData\Roaming\npm to your PATH in user variables and system variables in Environment Variables in Control Panel. Don't forget to replace the {myusername} in the path above with your username. npm install -g yo You should expecting a green Everything looks all right! indicating Yeoman is installed successfully! npm install -g generator-jhipster mkdir myap

When I go to localhost:8080 after running the app, the webpage is completely empty. I only see the favicon. I was following this [this video] tutorial, which just helps you setup a JHipster project. I imported the project into Eclipse, following these [LINK] instructions. I ran the app using Run As > Spring Boot App and also tried Run As > Run On Server. Even ran the mvnw file from the command line. The server starts fine, accessing the page gives me no error, but I don't see the JHipster home page thing.

First time using JHipster. Looks pretty awesome, but have a problem with Matt Raible's 12 minute video: Get Started with JHipster 4 [this video] (showcased on the web site front page) I am running JHipster on the latest version of openSUSE (linux) with IntelliJ IDEA for the IDE. I followed carefully his instructions, and broadly speaking everything works, but I have a problem. The blog application fails to create a datepicker UI element for the entry edit page. A date field is created in the database, but it is rendered on screen as a text string (appears to be ISO format e.g.2017-11-30T08:09:00) which can be edited as such, but is not very friendly. Matt Raible's video shows a datepicker, but I

Great question. I'm not sure how to restrict a user to see only the entries generated by themselves. Example: Blog Microservice: * User see only the blogs that they have created/own. * Admin can see each and every Blog entries. I want to do something like shown in this Jhipster video tutorial for monolithic application: [this video]
