Why Solana Stack Exchange recommends it

Solana Stack Exchange users link it as the standard beginner-to-builder course, both when recommending where to start and when asking for help on specific projects.

Recommended by 3 people across 4 different months, 2024 to 2025.

What it is

An 11-hour bootcamp video from the official Solana channel covering Projects 1-9 of the Solana Developer Bootcamp 2024. It starts with blockchain basics and builds apps on Solana, including a voting app with Blinks, a CRUD app, a token, an NFT, a swap program, token vesting and a token lottery. When you use anchor test it does always start a new test validator for you automatically so you should not have that problem. In the anchor.toml you can tell it to use localnet instead of devnet . You can also use anchor bankrun which works directly on the bank, runs faster and give you options like time travel: [LINK] [LINK] You can find some exaples for that in the Solana Bootcamp: [LINK] [this video] Here is another video explaining testing with bankrun: [LINK]

Recommends Jonas H. · 2025-01 · Solana Stack Exchange · on “Getting started with Solana Development - .NET Core?”

There is lots of ways on how you can interact with Solana and Solana on chain programs. You can use programs that are already deployed like the Token Program and many more. You can interact with these using RPC calls and also send transactions. You can think of Solana as a big decentralized database where some entries are programs and others are data accounts. There is libraries for .net and Unity for examples: [LINK] [LINK] A good start on learning about Solana is the solana bootcamp: [this video]

Recommends Aseneca · 2025-02 · Solana Stack Exchange · on “How to Start a Solana Journey as a MERN Stack Developer?”

As someone who went through quite a similar pathway, I can empathize with you on how difficult it can be. The transition can be quite challenging mainly due to the fact that working with MERN stack is all "high-level". I'll share how I was able to smoothly transition and I hope this would help guide you as well. Also I'd assume you already had a brush up on blockchain general concepts like decentralization, cryptography, consensus, proof of work, e.t.c. These are fundamental concepts that will help you appreciate and understand Solana better if you understand how they work generally. First step to getting it right, is Leveraging Your Strengths. I'd assume you have extensive experience as a M

I think you can look at the Solana Bootcamp videos(2 in total) from last year, which cover everything from the basics of how Solana works to building programs and integrating with web libraries like React [this video]

I'm currently participating in the Solana boot camp available on YouTube: Boot Camp Video [this video] at the timestamp 2:03:27 / 11:08:04. I'm not seeing any results in Dial.to and suspect it might be related to a CORS error. Hello i am quite new to solana development and i am currently following the Solana Bootcamp [this video] In the solana bootcamp the nightly compiler successfully identifies errors when running anchor build . However when i compile with the same command it compiles successfully everytime and gives no errors (even though there clearly are errors). I use VSCode on WSL, I run anchor cli 0.30.1 AVM 0.30.1 rustc 1.83.0 (90b35a623 2024-11-26) rustup 1.27.1 (54dd3d00f 2024-04-24) solana-cli 2.0.17 via Agave
