What it is
A short screen-recorded tutorial for Ubuntu 22.04 LTS showing how to fix a Wi-Fi connection that shows as connected but has no internet. It walks through editing /etc/resolv.conf with nano and replacing the local resolver entries with Google's public DNS servers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4).

I solved it by following this video [this video] : As shown in the video: Edit or create a file - /etc/resolv.conf sudo nano /etc/resolv.conf Add the lines: # nameserver ::1 # nameserver 127.0.0.1 nameserver 8.8.8.8 nameserver 8.8.4.4 Save, exit and retry the internet

In my case the resolver configuration was faulty. Changing the resolv.conf file fixed this Issue for me. $ cd /etc $ sudo nano resolv.conf Change the Content as following: # Generated by NetworkManager nameserver 8.8.8.8 nameserver 8.8.4.4 Source [this video]

For me, this kind of problem could be solved by using the Google Public DNS IP addresses in the /etc/resolv.conf file: sudo cp /etc/resolv.conf /etc/resolv.conf.bak sudo nano /etc/resolv.conf nameserver 8.8.8.8 nameserver 8.8.4.4 I got the hint for this solution from the following YouTube video: [this video] Also see [LINK] [LINK] [LINK]
