Getting Started with the Firebase Realtime Database on iOS - Firecasts
Why Stack Overflow recommends it
Stack Overflow users link it as the official starting point for Firebase on iOS, covering pod setup, database references and reading values, though later askers note it became outdated as the SDK changed.
Recommended by 4 people across 4 different months, 2016 to 2018.
What it is
A short 2016 Firecasts episode in which David East of the Firebase team walks through setting up the Firebase Realtime Database in an iOS app. He builds a small demo app to cover the basics of reading and writing data.

I had the same issue. In order to resolve it, you have to modify your podfile. I wrote in my podfile those two lines (as it was asked by firebase in its intro video: [this video] ) pod 'Firebase' pod 'Firebase/Database' hope it will help you :)

Take a look here, they have own sample. You have to modify them for you. [LINK] [LINK] Or Better, don't go for it directly. I tried it for analytics. Please fix your question format first as it is really hard to read and understand what you are trying to do in your code. If you want to get a specific item in the Firebase Database, this example might help you: // somebody try this if we can have space in-between Heritage and point1 let myDatabaseRef = Database.database().reference(withPath: "Beacons/Heritage Point1") myDatabaseRef.observe(.value) { (snap:DataSnapshot) in // Do whatever you want with your snapshot here print(snap.value) } or follow along this tutorial from their official YouTube Page: [this video]

I was following the tutorial on the official Firebase Youtube account ( [this video] ), but it seemes outdated so I had to read the documentation and apply a couple of changes to get this simple app to work properly. I get lldb error in AppDelegate.swift file: import UIKit import Firebase import FirebaseDatabase @UIApplicationMain class AppDelegate: UIResponder, UIApplicationDelegate { //error here var window: UIWindow? override init(){ FIRApp.configure() } func application(_ application: UIApplication, didFinishLaunchingWithOptions launchOptions: [UIApplicationLaunchOptionsKey: Any]?) -> Bool { // Override point for customization after application launch. return true } ViewController.swift file:
