I strongly suggest you spend some time learning SQL. There are many free online resources to help you with this - for example here [this video] , or here [LINK] , or here [LINK] . Best of luck.

I suggest learning the very basics of MySQL, here is the link for a youtube video moshHamedani [this video] OR you can download a book called MySQL notes for professionals, here MySQLNotesForProfessional [LINK] . Bare in mind that in order to use a database you will need a knowladge of serversite scripting. Good luck

if you have logged into MySQL workbench [LINK] then tried going to the schema tab (on the left) and hitting the two arrows that make a circle -- that should populate any tables that you've inserted into terminal. if not you can manually add the script file using one of the button on the top left "open a SQL script file". Check out this tutorial [this video] for more info.

Solved Is it possible to execute a ORDER BY clause without column name? I am following this tutorial on mysql: [this video] (At 1 hour, 18 minutes in) MySQL Tutorial for Beginners [LINK] In this tutorial it is mentioned that if no column name is specified with the ORDER BY clause it considers primary key as the column by default. but this dosen't seem to work when I try this: SELECT * FROM customers ORDER BY as said in the tutorial. [Note] customer_id is the primary key in the customers table.**

I am new to mySQL. I am following Mosh's tutorial [this video] to familiarize myself to SQL. Here's my question for the following code. SELECT * FROM order_items WHERE order_id = 6 AND unit_price*quantity > 30 When I looked up about SELECT * , it says: * means to return all all columns of the queried tables. Then I think SELECT * means that it grabs all tables from all schema. My question is : Isn't it a bit inefficient and confusing to return all column provided my understanding is right? If the database become bigger and bigger, it will consume unnecessary effort to look up the keyword, so I think SELECT should specify what table it is referring to. Thanks for reading!

I realized this question has been asked many times but all of the available solutions I've tried are not working. I'm getting an error code: CREATE TABLE `payment_methods` ( `payment_method_id` tinyint(4) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, `name` varchar(50) NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (`payment_method_id`) ) ENGINE=InnoDB AUTO_INCREMENT=5 DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8 COLLATE=utf8mb4_general_ci Error Code: 1253. COLLATION 'utf8mb4_general_ci' is not valid for CHARACTER SET 'utf8' For some reason that does not stop the code but later I'm get another error which actually does stop the code CREATE TABLE `payment_methods` ( `payment_method_id` tinyint(4) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, `name` varchar(50) NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY

I am having a lot of problems with mysql on macos 10.14. It started with trying to reset my password. Back when I collaborated with someone in 2018 my collaborator used mysql but I did not know how to work it. I have a feeling that the password I used for mysql is not the typical password I used because my attempts to log in failed. watching this video [this video] I was told at 9:12 that the password would be set on installation but that turned out to be false. I was never asked for a password upon downloading but perhaps that is because I had part of mysql already downloaded on my computer but I did not have the workbench installed. All of my attempts to reset the password failed. So I then tri
