What it is

A short explainer from Web Dev Simplified on Cross-Origin Resource Sharing: what CORS is, how basic cross-origin requests work, preflight requests, and sending credentials. It also covers how to fix common CORS errors, with a companion blog article.

@Magentodeveloper - is `api.attentivemobile.com` your site? if not, then you can't access the API directly from a browser - you'll need to access it via your server, since server to server requests are not limited by CORS - Learn CORS in 6 minutes [this video]

So i figured out whats wrong, before I get into the details, here are two awesome videos that explain CORS and how to work with them fetch, CORS and cookies [LINK] learn CORS in 6 minutes [this video] Now, the above two tutorials are not flask specific, but they are pretty relatable to flask, we use the flask-cors library to allow CORS. from my code, I have a /login endpoint whereby if the user logs in, a response object is made and a cookie containing a JWT is set. The main focus here is the @cross_origin() decorator, this is what makes CORS possible, But in here we still need to set a few things, some kwargs, the most important is the support_credentials=True By default, Flask-CORS does not all

You have to allow cors to receive that origin. There's a good good video about this [this video] . But adding the parameter origin to the cors() middleware should solve it. var cors = require('cors'); app.use(cors({ origin: " [LINK] " }));

you seem to be using `axios` like it were `fetch` - you'd need `responseType: 'arraybuffer'` in the options you pass to axios.post if you want axios to return an arrayBuffer ... also you also seem to have a CORS issue and think sending CORS **response** headers in the **request** will bypass CORS ... it does not ... CORS is 100% controlled by the **server** - learn CORS in 6 minuntes [this video] is a decent video if reading documentation [LINK] isn't your thing

We'll see if the top 2 answers accept my edit, but it's very likely you're gonna have to either add or use 127.0.0.1 instead of localhost . With the cors package, you're even able to use more than one allowed origin: app.use( cors({ origin: [" [LINK] ", " [LINK] "] }) ); And you could use origin: "*" if you wish to allow for anything. After over a week of learning and trying to find the right solution for this problem, I came across a video [this video] from one of my favorite YT creators Web Dev Simplified. Here he elegantly explains the CORS error and provides a simple yet effective solution. Installing the Express and CORS library through NPM within my cloud functions folder and requiring them both in the index.js file. Writing a function that allows you to change the access origin should be enough to solve this error. const express = require("express"); const app = express(); const functions = require('firebase-functions'); const admin = require('firebase-admin'); admin.initializeApp(); const cors = require('cors'); app.us
