Why Stack Overflow recommends it

Stack Overflow users link it when answering CORS errors between a browser client and a Node/Express server, since it shows the exact headers and OPTIONS preflight handling to add.

What it is

Part of Academind's Node.js REST API tutorial series, this 16-minute episode adds body parsing so an Express API can read incoming request data, then sets CORS headers so other origins can call it. It is a screen-recorded coding walkthrough presented by the Academind channel.

I have an Angular 6 application that run on port 4200 , this application uses and API that run on port 3000. This causes a CORS issue event when I use this app.use(function(req, res, next) { res.header("Access-Control-Allow-Origin", "*"); res.header("Access-Control-Allow-Headers", "*"); if (req.method === 'OPTIONS'){ res.header('Access-Control-Allow-Methods', 'PUT, POST, PATCH, DELETE, GET' ); return res.status(200).json({}) } next(); }); on server side (surce: tuto youtube [this video] ). Then I decide to move my angular application into node application. I builded angular an place it into node public file while adding : app.use(express.static('public')); and app.get('/', function(req, res){ res

I'm trying to create a website using angularJS and I want to show youtube videos. So I have setup the means to do that, but some videos don't allow embedding and say "Video Unavailable" only when you press Play . However, when I post the exact same links into discord through Chrome, they do play. Looking through the DOM tree, I can see Discord embeds those same videos using an iframe and Discord CAN play them. I've had a look at the YouTube API and can't seem to see anything on it, anyone know how Discord does this? This video allows embedding: [this video] . While this one doesn't: [LINK]
