Because tile seems only (0,0) position. You have to gave loops the layers. I wrote this code maybe help you. from pytmx import load_pygame, TiledTileLayer def map_setup(): global image # Getting / Importing the map tmxdata = load_pygame("Tile_files\\mymap2.tmx") width = tmxdata.width * tmxdata.tilewidth height = tmxdata.height * tmxdata.tileheight ti = tmxdata.get_tile_image_by_gid for layer in tmxdata.visible_layers: if isinstance(layer, TiledTileLayer): for x, y, gid, in layer: tile = ti(gid) if tile: image = tmxdata.get_tile_image(x, y, layer) By the way, excuse me for my language. Hopefully works. Edit: You can look this video detailed for import tmx map in pygame. Video link: [this video]

I was trying to follow along to a video ( This one [this video] ) and i ran into a problem: "TypeError: int() argument must be a string, a bytes-like object or a number, not 'NoneType'" (Full Traceback below) It seems to be a problem with the pytmx code, but i cant decide whether i can fix it. could someone try to translate what this traceback means? thanks! (I'm using Tiled, Python, Atom code editor, pygame, pytmx, and a windows laptop) heres the code and the full traceback: main.py: # KidsCanCode - Game Development with Pygame video series # Tile-based game - Part 12 # Loading Tiled Maps # Video link: [this video] import pygame as pg import sys from os import path from settings import * from sprites

I am learning a Python Pygame tile-based game via a YouTube tutorial series [this video] My code is identical to the code in the video. (I have checked many times for mistakes.) When I run the program, I get this error: File "C:\Users\PC\Desktop\letní hra\TILE TUTORIAL\main.py", line 6, in <module> from sprites import * File "C:\Users\PC\Desktop\letní hra\TILE TUTORIAL\sprites.py", line 3, in <module> from tilemap import collide_hit_rect File "C:\Users\PC\Desktop\letní hra\TILE TUTORIAL\tilemap.py", line 1, in <module> import pytmx ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'pytmx' It thinks I'm missing pytmx, but I installed it with Terminal pip install pytmx like in the video. I was getting that erro
