I'm new to this community. I was trying to learn the toon shader method of rendering from a [this video] by tiptut . I'm having trouble copying a modifier from one object to another. I was using the method used to put the border on the object but, I could only apply it to the mushroom cap and not the mushroom stem. [LINK] I am following this tutorial [this video] , and I am trying to inset the face of the bottom, but when i try to inset the face no circle appears. I can see the arrow and dotted line to the centre and the bar at the top shows that the thickness is changing. when I inset the top face it is visible but not when I do the bottom face. I am up to 4:43 of the video. here is the blender file : [LINK]

I am brand new to blender, I am following a tutorial on youtube - TipTup Basic Blender Toon / Cel Shader [this video] I am stuck at 3:28 when it goes to the part to inset the bottom and top face. It shows the inset in Edit mode, but when I change to object mode it doesn't show the inset, versus how on the tutorial it does show it. I have tried looking for solutions but none quite fit what I'm having. I attached screen shots to help see the issue. [LINK]
