Blender 2.7: Ship floating on the ocean (tutorial)
Why Blender Stack Exchange recommends it
Blender Stack Exchange users link it when someone wants an object, boat or vehicle to follow a wavy or uneven surface using Shrinkwrap and constraints instead of a physics simulation.
Recommended by 2 people across 2 different months, 2016 to 2019.
What it is
A five-minute Blender 2.7 tutorial showing how to make a ship float naturally on an animated ocean without using physics. It uses the Ocean modifier, a path animation, a Shrinkwrap modifier and object constraints, and the presenter provides the final file for download.

maybe not (yet?), your'not the first to ask, on the net. I just found [LINK] and [this video] maybe the second may help you...?

instead of physics you should use a Shrinkwrap modifier and a Copy Location as explained here: [this video] I don't know how to make it for 4 wheels though

How to make the object to float on the water (fluid simulation, not ocean modifier) such as the leaf of a tree? I tried two options that work with ocean modifier ( [LINK] , [this video] ) but they both give incorrect results. In addition, if they would work, they would make the leaf float on the surface of the water, staying in one place, and I want the water to cerry the leaf, as a physical object.

I followed these two methods to animate a large yacht hull: [LINK] & [this video] I'd like to mention that I am a Blender newbie and that I have not finetuned materials, environment and the amount of foam generated in my file. Basically my ship is guided along a curve with the help of an underwater slider plane. Here is what I got so far: [LINK] Unfortunately this is way to fast in boat movements (not boat speed) for a large yacht. A large yacht would usually not have the transom exit the water that far. What can I do about this? I tried already to reduce the rotation around the horizontal axis in the hope that would smooth the motion out. Please have a look for this on the attached screenshot of
