What it is
Part 12 of Blender Guru's Blender 3.0 beginner donut series. Andrew Price shows how to build floating particles around the donut using geometry nodes (Distribute Points on Faces, instancing, and a frame-driven value). The description notes a 2023 remake exists for Blender 4.0.

I have a plane which I want to manipulate in geometry nodes. As soon as I add Distribute On Faces node, it disappears/become invisible, I can only see the outlines. I tried adding Join Geometry node, it did not help. Now when I render it, the objects are seen. Any Ideas? Now when I render it, the objects are visible. I've been following Blender Guru's 3.0 Donut Tutorial and have been trying to figure out if there is a way to seamlessly loop the falling sprinkles made in Part 12. I've Googled for ways to make looping animations using Geometry Nodes in Blender and I have found some solutions using the particle system, but none that allow a looping animation specifically for falling particles in Geometry Nodes. I'm trying to change the Geometry Node setup I made from this video to make a looping animation of petals falling to be used as a background for streaming. Is there a way to accomplish looping animations of falling particles in Geometry Nodes? Picture of finished floating particle setup: [LINK] Blend

I’m trying to follow the tutorial Blender Guru Blender 3.0 Floating Particles Tutorial (Donut part 12) [this video] but at around 8min mark I keep getting the error: Can’t edit driven number value, see graph editor for driver setup. I realise there are others that have asked this question but I still keep getting this error. I'm stuck in a section where I'm trying to get the value node to link with the frames of my scene using a plane, then selecting the plane, inside the geometry nodes editor. He adds a value node then goes to the value node box and in the value node and he inputs #frame to link to frames of his scene and that seems to work for Blender Guru. For me it does not work, so when I tr
