What it is

A short Blender 3.0 tutorial by Cartesian Caramel showing how to build a cell-style fracture effect on any mesh using geometry nodes. It walks through the node setup that splits a mesh into pieces procedurally.

I've been following this cell fracturing tutorial: [this video] I'd like to add a colour change based on an attribute in my geometry nodes. I'm trying to use 'Store Named Attribute' from a map range node result in geometry nodes to transfer values to my material nodes, but I'm struggling to get this working. Here's my current set-up: [LINK] [LINK]

Cites JerryT · 2022-09 · Blender Stack Exchange · on “Export geo node animations and materials”

I created a simple sphere with faces being scaled by distance with geometry nodes. In the geo node tree, I also applied two materials to the faces. The material is not animated. It's not exact, but is based off of this tutorial. I'm doing something similar, but to the faces. [this video] Is there a way to export this to Maya or Unity with the animated faces and materials applied?

I saw this with the new geometry nodes: [this video] and I think I can just edit the nodes to get a more smooth and metaball like effect
