newB here so, i am probably getting everything all wrong so please bear with me. I am working on a model of Jesus with intent of 3D printing my pose but I am getting no results in the parenting of mesh and armature. It seems that nothing is linking together. I have been following this excellent tutorial [this video] on youtube and everything up to the timestamp 46:40 has gone without a hitch. but confusion has set in and seeking help is my only recourse. Granted my model I found on a google search for free stl. So, it may not even be the direction I should be headed. Any advice is awesome. [LINK]

I'm very new to blender. I did some tutorials building and rigging basic characters. Last week I decided to built my first charcter on my own. It took a long time but I'm happy with the result. I followed this tutorial for character rigging: [this video] First time I did this rig with my first character, everything was great. Now I'm trying to rig my new char, but it doesn't work. Problem is when I try to setup the inverse kinematics the bones won't show up. I can`t select any of them. I guess this might be a setup problem. As far as I know, I didn't change the basic setups (but maybe by accident...?). Maybe one of you knows what I did wrong. (I use blender in German - hope this is not a problem.

Specifically, the knees seem to be bending... Inwards? This is a basic, custom IK rig, based on this [this video] tutorial from Ryan King Art. You can see the issue below. Blend file is there too. [LINK] [LINK] [LINK] [LINK] [LINK]

I am following a rigging tutorial [this video] and I came across an issue when parenting the leg to the hip bone. When I do so, the bones remain the same in edit mode, however then move around in pose mode. [LINK] [LINK] I tried ALT+G, ALT+S and ALT+R and the bones don't go back to their original rest pose. I also checked and there is no issue if I parent the hip to the leg. I skipped the hip/leg step and didn't have an issue when parenting all IK bones to the main bone. The tutorial doesn't explain anything about this issue but a couple people in the comments seem to have the same issue. I have searched around and couldn't find a helpful solution. This is also my first time rigging on Blender an
